At FYCO, we announce our new partnership with IDB Invest , aimed at promoting the expansion of fiber optic networks in regions with persistent digital divides.

Thanks to this transaction, we will be able to extend payment terms for internet service providers (ISPs) in several countries in the region, strengthening their liquidity and capacity to modernize their networks. This will allow them to replace obsolete broadband technologies with more efficient, scalable, and sustainable fiber optic infrastructure, both in terms of speed and energy consumption.

The impact will be especially significant in rural and hard-to-reach areas, such as the Amazon Basin— with special cases like Loreto , Peru—where fixed broadband penetration is among the lowest in the world. With this initiative, thousands of people will be able to access quality digital services that promote equal opportunities in education, healthcare, e-government, and local entrepreneurship.

In addition to financing, the agreement with IDB Invest includes technical assistance and specialized advice to strengthen our environmental, social, health, and safety practices. It also includes the implementation of an Integrated Management System and policies aligned with international standards, reinforcing our commitment to sustainability.

This achievement represents a key milestone in our mission to transform connectivity in Latin America and the Caribbean. Together with IDB Invest, we reaffirm our role as facilitators of technological growth that simultaneously drives sustainable social, economic, and environmental development.
