The last edition of the year of Fiber Connect LATAM 2025 was distinguished by its focus on the challenges and opportunities of the Telco sector in Colombia and throughout the region.
On October 14, we met in Bogotá to address key issues such as the expansion of fiber optics, the operational efficiency of data centers, energy sustainability, and new models of cooperation among actors in the digital ecosystem.
During the day, our team actively participated in panels and strategic meetings that allowed us to analyze the current challenges of the sector and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
Our CTO, Marco Terán, participated in the panel “Alliances that Connect: The Shared Future of Connectivity,” where we discussed how cooperative models and shared networks are redefining operational efficiency and value within the Telco value chain. Meanwhile, our CLO, María del Rosario Oviedo, moderated the opening panel, “The Fiber Optic Imperative: How Networks Are Shaping AI in Colombia,” an essential conversation about the role of fiber optic infrastructure in the adoption of emerging technologies.
This meeting allowed us to strengthen relationships, generate new alliances, and share our vision on technical and strategic collaboration as the basis for a more resilient and sustainable connectivity ecosystem.
We gained valuable lessons, new alliances, and the satisfaction of having contributed to a dialogue that will undoubtedly continue to shape the course of telecommunications in Latin America in 2026.
